The signing and ceremony of the "Sinoway Forest Inspirational Fund “between Sinoway Forest and School of Horticulture and Forestry of Tarim University was successfully held.

In October 2023, the signing and ceremony of the "Sinoway Forest Inspirational Fund” was grandly held at the College of Horticulture and Forestry, Tarim University in Xinjiang. The signing of the donation agreement for the "Sinoway Forest Inspirational Fund “took place at the event. The first donation period was five years, with a donation amount of RMB 1 million. The first scholarship of RMB 200,000 was awarded at the ceremony, which awarded a total of 49 outstanding teachers and students as well as needy students.

Tarim University, founded in October 1958, is one of the first undergraduate institutions authorized by the Academic Degrees Committee of The State Council to confer bachelor's degrees, master's degrees in 2003, and Doctor's degrees in 2018. It is a comprehensive university with the advantages of agriculture, the characteristics of life science, and the coordinated development of multiple disciplines. At present, the university has 1,493 staff and 28,000 students, with 16 colleges and 85 undergraduate programs.

The university has 6 national first-class undergraduate specialty construction points, 21 provincial first-class undergraduate specialty construction points, 4 autonomous region key disciplines, 1 first-level discipline doctoral degree authorization points, 23 master degree authorization points. At present, there is 1 national engineering Laboratory (National and Local Joint Engineering Laboratory for Efficient and High-quality Cultivation and deep Processing Technology of Characteristic fruit trees in Southern Xinjiang), 1 Provincial Key Laboratory cultivation base (Provincial Key Laboratory Cultivation Base for Protection and Utilization of Biological resources in Tarim Basin), One key laboratory of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (the Key Laboratory of Forestry, livestock and Grass Resources Utilization of the Ministry of Rural Agriculture) and one key laboratory of the Ministry of Education (the Key Laboratory of Tarim Oasis Agriculture) highlight the research characteristics of biodiversity and cultural diversity in the Taklimakan Desert.

Sinoway Forest has conducted in-depth cooperation and exchanges with the college of Horticulture and Forestry of Tarim University. Based on the valuable experience of Tarim University in conducting biodiversity research in the Taklamakan Desert for over 60 years, a "tree seed balls" technology research and development center will be jointly established to conduct scientific research on the production process, seed selection, germination rate detection, and aerial seeding technology of "Tree Seed Balls", so as to continuously optimize and improve the aerial seeding afforestation process.

At present, Sinoway Forest has recruited three outstanding students from the Horticulture and Forestry College of Tarim University. They have started their internship work at the first division Alar City seed balls processing base and completed the first stage of tree seed balls germination rate testing in the university’s laboratory.
