Recently, a professional team led by Sinoway Forest's General Manager Tian Zhiqiang and Project Manager Pang Guocong, accompanied by Researcher Ailishaer·Kurban and Researcher Zhang Heng from the Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography, Chinese Academy of Sciences, arrived in Sinai, Tunisia, on January 15th to conduct a far-reaching field inspection, gathering crucial data for the subsequent robust advancement of their projects.
This inspection carries the significant mission of promoting cooperation in the field of ecology. During their stay in Tunisia, the Sinoway Forest team engaged in extensive and in-depth exchanges with local government departments and relevant agencies. The team met with the heads of Tunisia's Ministry of Environment Headquarters, the Sfax Governorate, the Gabès Governorate, the Gafsa Regional Grassland Authority, and the Regional Committee for Agricultural Development.
In a series of meetings, the Sinoway Forest team not only introduced the project's planning and goals in detail but also discussed with all parties the feasibility and potential challenges of project implementation in the local ecological context. Following this, both sides ventured into the field for on-site surveys and research, providing first-hand information for the precise implementation of the project.
This inspection holds great significance for promoting cooperation between China and Tunisia in ecological protection, forest resource management, and other related fields. Leveraging its professional expertise and collaborating with the strength of Chinese Academy of Sciences experts, the Sinoway Forest team is poised to inject new vitality into Tunisia's ecological environment construction. Meanwhile, this represents another positive attempt by a Chinese enterprise and scientific research institution on the international cooperation stage, laying a solid foundation for future in-depth cooperation between the two sides in the field of sustainable development.
Subsequently, based on the data and exchange outcomes from this inspection, the Sinoway Forest team will further optimize the project proposal and steadily push forward the implementation of the project in Tunisia, jointly writing a new chapter in Sino-Tunisian ecological cooperation.
