The recent preparations for the Sinoway Forest's support of the Great Green Wall of Africa project in Mauritania are in full swing, marking the official commencement of this landmark green initiative.

Recently, Wang Xinpeng, General Manager of Sinoway Forest Technology Co., Ltd., held a series of fruitful meetings with representatives from the Xinjiang Institute of Biological Resources of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Pan-African Great Green Wall Organization in Mauritania, Africa, to jointly explore and promote in-depth cooperation on the Great Green Wall ecological restoration project in Africa.

On April 23, Liu Tao, the chairman of the company, Liang Baochang, the general manager of Shandong branch's laboratory, Jiang Quan, the senior manager of overseas sales department, and the expert team of Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), flew to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to participate in the aerial seeding project jointly promoted by Sinoway Forest and EGA, marking a substantial step forward in the cooperation between Sinoway Forest and EGA in the field of ecological environmental protection. It also highlights the positive role of the Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography in promoting international ecological cooperation among enterprises and promoting global ecological environmental improvement.

Sinoway Forest Collaborates with Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography to Conduct Aerial Seeding Evaluation in Altay, Xinjiang

On April 19th, we ushered in the grain rain saving spirit. This is a season full of vitality and hope, the earth in the spring rain under the moist gradually wake up, all things grow vigorously. In November last year, SinowayForest planted 27,000 mu of tree species balls in Beitun City and Burjin County, Altay region, Xinjiang province, and the arrival of grain rain provided excellent conditions for them to germinate and grow.

In order to thoroughly implement the spirit of the comprehensive prevention and control of desertification and promote the "three North" and other key ecological project construction conference, we will actively explore the methods and technologies of desertification control, and strive to create a new situation of high-quality development of ecological construction. On March 8,2024, Jiang Xuewei, Secretary of the Party Committee of The School of Horticulture and Forestry of Tarim University, teachers Wang Liming, Tang Ruide, Feng Jianzhu, Chen Jiali, Yang Liyu and others led all the students of forestry major in 2020 to visit and practice in the Flying Broadcasting afforestation Base of Sinoway Forest Technology Co., Ltd.

In November, Wang Xinpeng, general manager of the Forest Company, led a team to cooperate with the Xinjiang Institute of Biological Studies of the Chinese Academy of Sciences to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania to discuss the afforestation technology and exhibition in the African Shahara Desert, and prepared for the large-scale greening of the Great Green Wall project in Africa in the later stage.

On January 28,2024, Xinjiang institute of ecology and geography, Chinese Academy of Sciences (hereinafter referred to as the "Xinjiang habitat") and Mauritania Africa green Great Wall national institutions jointly build "central African green technology park" (hereinafter referred to as the "technology park") aid shipment ceremony held in the west coast of Qingdao new district, marked the official launch of the project. The first batch of aid includes: solar panels, water-saving irrigation, photovoltaic water pumping, intelligent irrigation, sand protection nets, sand-fixing agents and other equipment and materials.

In October 2023, in the College of Horticulture and Sinoway Forest of Tarim University in Xinjiang, the signing and award ceremony of the first "Sinoway Forest" inspirational Fund was held successfully. The donation agreement of the "China Carbon Forest" inspirational Fund was signed at the event site. The first donation period is five years and the donation amount is 1 million yuan. The ceremony awarded the first award and scholarship of 200,000 yuan, rewarding a total of 49 excellent teachers and students and supporting poor students.

Recently, Sinoway Forest has carried out a total area of 16,000 mu of national secondary public interest forest land in the degraded sand in Burjin County, Altay Prefecture, Xinjiang, sowing 45 tons of tree species including red willow, haloxylon, sea buckthorn, artemisia annua, Caragana caragana seeds.

In recent years, the Alar City of the First Division of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps has successively planted trees and restored greenery on the edge of the Taklimakan Desert, and steadily carried out such work as returning farmland to forest and preventing and controlling desertification. Ecological barriers have turned the Gobi Desert into a beautiful oasis. Starting from 2022, Aral City of Xinjiang has continued to carry out aerial afforestation in the desert edge and desertification areas with the target of "benefiting the desert and greening the desert", and the operation area will exceed 300,000 mu this year, which also provides an important practical basis for increasing vegetation coverage in the Taklimakan Desert and restoring the ecological environment in the Tarim River basin and surrounding areas.
