Sinoway Forest Signs Agreement with Georgian Research Institution for Construction of 50,000 Hektares of Carbon Sink Forests
2024-10-24On October 17th, Liu Tao, Chairman of Sinoway Forest, officially signed an agreement with the Georgian research institution, Foundation Caucasus Environment (FCE), in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, for a feasibility study on the construction of 50,000 hectares of carbon sink forests in specific regions of Georgia. Through scientific research and feasibility analysis, the feasibility of constructing carbon sink forests in the specified areas of Georgia will be explored. The signing of this agreement marks a new breakthrough for Sinoway Forest in its project layout in the region and demonstrates its firm commitment to addressing global climate change and promoting sustainable development.
Carbon sink forests, as an important ecological engineering project, effectively absorb and fix atmospheric carbon dioxide through afforestation and forest management, which is of great significance for mitigating global warming and promoting green and low-carbon development.
Georgia boasts abundant natural resources and a good ecological environment. This collaboration with Sinoway Forest will not only help advance forest conservation and ecological restoration efforts in eorgia but also bring economic and social benefits to the local area, promoting sustainable development.
During the signing ceremony, Liu Tao, Chairman of Sinoway Forest, stated, "We are very honored to cooperate with Georgian research institutions to jointly promote the construction of carbon sink forests. Sinoway Forest will fully leverage its technical expertise in carbon sequestration and ecological restoration to contribute to Georgia's ecological environmental protection and sustainable development.
This cooperation not only reflects Sinoway Forest's proactive stance in addressing global climate change but also demonstrates Georgia's commitment to environmental protection and sustainable development. Both parties will work together to make positive contributions to ecological environmental protection and sustainable development in Georgia and even globally.
In the future, Sinoway Forest will continue to uphold the concept of "green development and win-win cooperation" and work hand in hand with partners from more countries and regions to jointly advance the cause of addressing global climate change and promoting sustainable development.
