2024-11-21

At the high-level meeting of COP29 in Azerbaijan, Sinoway Forest held talks with representatives from the Ministry of Water and Environment of Uganda, the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA), and the National Forestry Authority (NFA) to jointly explore land restoration strategies.

During the meeting, Sinoway Forest presented its relevant technologies and future plans in the field of land restoration. As an active practitioner of green technology, Sinoway Forest has been committed to promoting the development of the global environmental protection cause through innovative technologies.

The Ugandan delegates expressed strong interest in the Tree Seed Ball technology and believed that this technology could bring breakthroughs to Uganda's land restoration efforts. Both sides conducted in-depth discussions on how to apply this technology to Uganda's actual situation and explored how to formulate more effective land restoration strategies in combination with the local ecological environment and climatic conditions, aiming to transform the Karamoja arid region into an oasis.

After the meeting, representatives from both sides unanimously stated that the discussions were fruitful and laid a solid foundation for future cooperation. Both sides agreed to reconvene in Uganda in January 2025 to jointly assess the implementation effects of the Tree Seed Ball technology and explore further cooperation opportunities.
